Dear Glimmer
Train Readers
and Writers,
In this issue:
Upcoming
deadlines and results:
- The current Fiction Open competition closes March 31.
(Note:
This is a category that allows more space, but in no way requires it.
We
truly welcome stories of any length for the Fiction Open as long as
they
don't exceed 20,000 words. The high word cap is just meant to relieve
you
of that constraint.)
- As we said in the February Bulletin, we are pleased to be
able to
shorten response times down to just two months from the close of each
one-month long competition. To make that leap forward, we've got two
results to report this month:
Winners of the December Fiction Open have been
notified
and the Top-25 list is posted! (And remember you can
always
check status of your online submissions by logging in and clicking on My
Submissions.)

Hole in the Soup" by Stephanie
Dickinson
2nd place: "Would
You and Other Relevant Questions" by Elizabeth
Koch
3rd place: "Boxville, East
Boxville" by Clark Knowles
The November Short Story Award for New Writers winners have also been notified and that Top-25 list is
posted!
